A Little History…

Launched in 1992 Streetbeat Disco was created with the aim of providing a better quality of mobile disco entertainment.

Our emphasis of only buying high quality professional sound and lighting equipment, combined with DJ Gary Carter’s experience in the entertainment industry saw Streetbeat quickly become a popular choice for event and party organisers in and around Devon.

Over the years DJ Gary Carter has performed at 1000’s of private and corporate events, in night clubs and even appeared on national television with the likes of Richard Bacon and Johnny Vaughan.

We continue to be one of the leading mobile disco and DJ hire companies in the southwest, providing a top quality entertainment service to the area’s best venues and private hire customers.

We believe DJs should dress appropriately for the occasion they are attending.

We have developed a dress code for the various events we are booked to perform.

Streetbeat Disco is a full member of AMPdj the largest support network for mobile DJs in the UK. We are fully compliant with their code of conduct and are covered by £10 million PLI underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance.

Professional Equipment

To maximise our reliability and to produce the best shows possible, we use professional sound and lighting equipment from some of the most respected manufacturers in the industry. In the unlikely event any equipment should fail we carry a range of backup solutions.

Sound Quality

We take sound quality very seriously. We only use ‘Theatre and Touring’ grade speaker systems.

Our winning combination of RCF TT speakers, Pioneer & Denon audio processing, right down to high specification Van Dame and Neutrik interconnects, makes for some very impressive sound.

It’s not all about hardware though. Played on the best equipment poorly encoded MP3’s can sound pretty awful. Therefore, we encode all our original tracks to the FLAC audio format.

WHAT IS FLAC?

FLAC is a professional loss-less format which retains the full quality of the original recording and is used by studios around the world.

Lighting & Effects

We carry a large variety of professional lighting and effects equipment. We will pick appropriate units for your event and venue.

The majority of our lighting is computer controlled. This means we have ability to create beautifully subtle and romantic lighting, or fast moving colourful beams that respond to the beat of music to produce a stunning synchronised light show.
